Healthy Cereal?

Instead of reaching for the coco pops, special K or fruit loops, you can switch to having a healthy cereal which is so good you'd think it's unhealthy! When it comes to buying cereals, I recommend only buying ones with a 4.5 health star rating or higher, as most 4 star cereals are still packed with refined sugars. Cereals with no added sugar are the original wheatbix, rolled oats and many others 5 star rated ones.

A great option is to create your own granola or oat bowls so you have control of what is added in. Plain oats with fruit, honey and/ or nuts are all home made meals you can create and for a cheaper price than buying the store made/ processed one.

My favourite 'cereals' are fruit and nut mixes or chocolate coated buckinis. You can purchase these from your local nut shop, farmers market or health store. I go to thefield_wholefood. Some other favourites of mine are paleo nut mixes which include roasted coconut flakes, pepitas, goji berries, macadamia nuts, pistachios and inca berries. Honestly heaven! Buckini are crunchy little ball/ triangle shaped clusters which are super delicious and taste really nice with a fruit & nut mix + almond milk.

You can make your own 'cereal' by buying your favourite nuts, dried fruits, coconut flakes, buckinis and combine them. If you cant be bothered then I reccoment buying a pre-made one from a store, just make sure there aren't added sugars. I love the brand 'Loving Earth' which I always find in foodland Fairview Green (for yall living in my area).
